The Instructional Technology group is proud to acknowledge our part in both of the front page stories in today’s edition of The Trail.
The Trail’s Best of Special Edition has awarded Best Event of the year to the visit of Senator Hillary Clinton, who spoke at the UPS Field House on February 8th. IT Staff member Walter Andrews was an instrumental part of the negotiations to bring Senator Clinton to campus and coordinated the audio-visual media needs for the event. Bravo, Walter!
We are also proud of our connection with the Trail’s other front page Best of the 2007-2008 academic year: Best Place to Have Sex on Campus. Though the number one item was the baseball dugout, the Media Carrels in the Library followed up.
The Media Services arm of Instructional Technology purchase and maintain the media equipment in these carrels and we are gratified to know students have found multiple uses for them. If there is anything we can do to make this equipment more conducive for widespread use, please send us some Feedback.

Recently, the OIS Network team expanded the coverage of the wireless network to all classrooms on the second and third floor of Jones Hall. The entire building should now have wireless access to the network.
With the expansion of wireless in Wyatt Hall over the Spring break, the two largest classroom buildings with only partial coverage now have complete coverage. All classroom and lab spaces in all academic buildings are now fully covered, except for the remaining partial coverage in Kittredge and Music.
Please see the OIS Wireless page for wireless coverage information.
