From Jeff Ammons, ASUPS Director of Technology Services:
This Friday ASUPS and Technology Services will host another Tech Talk. The talk is this Friday, November 21st at 12:00 pm in Lib020. As usual, food will be provided by Technology Services.
This month’s presenter will be Anna Cavender, another computer science graduate student from UW. She will be speaking about her research in developing technologies which enable disabled individuals to use computers and other devices. More specifically her work in developing a way for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals to use cell phones.
Last August, Bryan Alexander from NITLE gave a workshop here at UPS on Web 2.0 Storytelling Tools. The workshop was well attended by faculty (see this page for resources gathered during the workshop).
Recently Technology Services purchased a SMART Board for the Presentation Room (Lib 020) in the Tech Center. We are seeking feedback from faculty in order to pursue and purchase more for electronic classrooms. This room can be schedule through the Help Desk at x8585, if you would like to try it out.
In our continuing quest to document all electronic classrooms on this site, we would like everyone to know that links to the information pages for all electronic classrooms on this site are now linked to in Cascade.
These links are present in the listings under the Your Students section of Cascade, specifically in the listings for your own Class Lists and any Department Class Lists (click example image to see details.)
Clinking on any of the underlined room names will take you to that room’s page on this site. If you have any corrections, additions or suggestions for the pages for the rooms you teach in, please send us some Feedback.
