Microphones

There are currently four different kinds of microphone available in our inventory for circulation.

    Microphone for Cassette Recorder

This microphone is to be used with the tabletop cassette recorder. Currently we have 2 copies of this type of microphone.

    Hand Held Microphone

This microphone has a three-pin connection to use with a microphone cable. There is also a holder so that you can connect the microphone to a microphone stand. Currently we have 6 hand held microphones in our inventory.

    Lavaliere Microphone

This microphone has a three-pin connection to use with a microphone cable. It has a lapel pin in addition to having a string to hang the microphone around your neck. Currently we have 3 lavaliere microphones in our inventory.

    Sound Grabber

This microphone is to be used with computers, tabletop cassette recorders, etc. Currently we have 2 sound grabbers in our inventory.




Mac Adapter

We currently have three adapters in our inventory for circulation: one Mac DVI to VGA 15 pin, and two Mac USB to VGA 15 pin.

Digital Camcorder

Digital camcorders are camcorders that use Mini DV tapes and record digitally. (Mini DV tapes can be purchased at any drugstore).

Currently we have 5 digital camcorders in our inventory for circulation:

  • 2 - Canon Elura 90 w/ external mic input (shown above)
  • 3 - Canon ZR-850

Each digital camcorder comes with instructions, two battery packs, a battery charger, and an A/V cable.




Data Projector

For information about borrowing data projectors for use in Wheelock Student Center, please contact Sarah Comstock, the Assistant Director of Student Activities.

There are currently four data projectors in the Media Center’s inventory for circulation.

Data projector accessories

Each projector comes with instructions, a remote, and four cables (data, audio, USB and power). If you have a Macintosh laptop you may need to check-out a mac adapter along with the data projector.
