You can have students upload files as part of an assignment.
This may be particularly useful for foreign language classes and uploading audio files.

Instructions
- To have students upload a file as part of an assignment, turn editing on and choose “Add an Activity,” and “Upload a single file.”
- Give the assignment a name and instructions. Instructions are important because you need to tell students what file you would like them to upload.
- When you’re done adding a name and instructions, you can decide if you want students to be able to resubmit an assignment, if you’d like to receive an e-mail notification when students submit assignments, and what the size limit will be for uploaded files.
- “Save and Display” the assignment. You will notice that under your role as a course maker, you are able only to see the instructions for the assignment.
- To see the assignment as your students will see it, switch your role to “Student” on your course page home screen and open the assignment link.
- Your students see the assignment instructions at the top of the screen, as well as a button to “Browse” for the file they have saved, and “Upload”in order to complete the assignment.
